Timber Log Chop Event
Rules and Regulations
|
- A block of log (approximately 2-feet long) will be placed on top of a stanchion.
- The wood chopper will stand on the log.
- The referee will signal with a whistle to inform the competitor to start chopping wood.
- Time starts when the referee blows the whistle to start the wood chopping and ends when the wood chopper chops through the log.
- The log must be completely severed in the center.
- All competitors must wear steel toe boots.
- The top 8 times will proceed into a single elimination.
- The axes will be provided by the event host.
- Competitors may sharpen their axes before competing.
- Throwing the axe is an automatic disqualification from the event.
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages prior to chopping will mean disqualification.

PROTESTS: Notify the game umpire that you are protesting before
the last pitch of the game. The umpire will notify the proper
tournament representative and the other team's manager will
be notified that you are protesting. Both managers must meet
with the tournament director, immediately.
A protest fee of $200 (cash only) must be given to the tournament
representative at the time of the protest.
If your protest is deemed to be correct your protest fee will
be refunded.
If your protest is deemed to be incorrect, YOU WILL FORFEIT
YOUR PROTEST FEE. |
