Softball Tournament
Rules and Regulations
ASA RULES SHALL APPLY EXCEPT
AS MODIFIED HEREIN:

1.
Start with a ONE STRIKE-ONE BALL count; with and extra foul.
Since ASA rules prevail, the extra foul is live if caught
and dead if not caught.
2. TEAMS: must have a minimum of 9 payers to start and finish.
Teams may add a 10th player at any time (an 11th player only
before the game starts). If the team starts with 10 or 11
players and one player is injured, ejected, or otherwise removed
from the game, a substitute must enter or an out will be recorded.
3. GAME TIMES: All teams must be at their playing field by
game time. (NO GRACE PERIOD!) No new inning will start after
4. COURTESY RUNNERS: two per game (always last out). If incorrect
runner touches a base and is properly appealed (before next
pitch) an out will be recoded.
5. RUN RULES: 20 runs after 3 complete innings, or 15 runs
after 5.
6. HOME RUNS: Competitive division - three (3) home runs,
then recorded out Recreational division - one (1) home run;
then recorded out NOTE: When a home run is hit, the batter
and all runners must touch one base and immediately return
to the dugout. This will speed up play.
7. TIE GAMES: Round Robin - can end in a tie Double Elimination
- Kansas City Tie Breaker (explained as necessary)
8. CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES: No time limit and no Kansas City tie
breaker. Run rules do apply.
9. ASA APPROVD BATS only (1.20 BPF or less - no titanium).
Illegal bats at this time include: Miken Ultra II, Mike Velocit-e
Ultra (Balanced), and the Miken Velocit-e Ultra (Maxload).
10. Balls supplied by tournament director (COR: .44 max. Comp:
525 lbs. max).
11. PROTESTS: will be handled on the spot by the Tournament
Committee. See below for procedure.

PROTESTS: Notify the game umpire that you are protesting before
the last pitch of the game. The umpire will notify the proper
tournament representative and the other team's manager will
be notified that you are protesting. Both managers must meet
with the tournament director, immediately.
A protest fee of $200 (cash only) must be given to the tournament
representative at the time of the protest.
If your protest is deemed to be correct your protest fee will
be refunded.
If your protest is deemed to be incorrect, YOU WILL FORFEIT
YOUR PROTEST FEE. |
12.
No jewelry is allowed on the field (due to injury possibility).
This includes visible necklaces, watches, bracelets, earrings,
etc. that may cause an injury.
