Unsportsman-like Conduct
Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be condoned during, before or after the competition. Any behavior, which brings discredit upon the 2009 Never Forgotton Sports Classic will not be tolerated. Any harassment, physical or verbal assault on officials, competitors, spectators, co-ordinators, or any person will meet with immediate action.
The 2009 Never Forgotton Sports Classic are committed to behaving and expecting others to behave in ways that demonstrate our system of values relating to the respectful treatment of each member of our community, including all participants and officials of the events. We believe that we are individually and collectively responsible for our behavior, and that we are fully accountable for our actions. We take initiative and responsibility for our own participation and learning, and maintain an awareness of the differences that exist within our community in order to avoid actions that diminish the respect and importance of others. Bigotry has no place within our community, nor does the right to denigrate another human being on the basis of age, physical or developmental challenge, national origin, sexual orientation, race, gender or religious affiliation. We will not tolerate verbal or written abuse, threats, intimidation, violence or other forms of harassment against any member of our community, which includes participants and officials of the events. Likewise, we will not accept ignorance, anger, alcohol or substance abuse as an excuse, reason or rationale for such behavior.
